I never thought I would be one of those Mommies that made all of my child's food fresh, but when it came time to start feeding Noah solid foods I thought I'd give it a whirl. After reading a few books and getting some advice from my Mom I set out to make my first dish...sweet potatoes.
I enjoy making Noah's food because I know it's healthy for him and I like to cook. It feels good knowing I am giving him the healthiest start I can. From developing good eating habits now to enjoying a large variety of foods, I am proud of what I've accomplished. I'm curious to see if anyone else makes their child's food or what thoughts you might have to share.

I think that is great to do, if you have the time to do it. I think it is best for them to get all the nutrients they need from fresh foods not processed foods. Lily has not really ever had baby food. She never really liked it. I have always made her homemade foods such as sweet potatoes, corn, she even likes grean beans. I also dont mash them I give them to her whole (soft of course). I think as I have been learning about what food does both good and bad, it is important to teach our kids how to eat!
Yes! I agree. I did not realized how much junk is in the foods we eat. Preservatives, chemicals, etc. Hooray for fresh healthy food--and the occasional bowl of ice cream ;-)
